AWANA
Leader: Wyatt Flory

AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and comes from the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15:

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Our AWANA Club is for children 3 years old through 6th grade.  We meet each Wednesday at 6:30 PM throughout the school year.

Cubbies:

Lots of fun and an introduction to God's word for preschoolers, Cubbies encourages these little ones to begin to make scripture a part of their lives through parent-child activities.

Sparks:

Friendship building and the gospel message for K - 2nd graders, Sparks teaches children about Jesus through games and introduces small peer-group interaction.

T&T (Truth & Training):

Evangelism and discipleship for 3rd - 6th graders, T&T leads children into a deeper relationship with God and teaches them to reach out to others through mission projects.

Each year we hold a "Pine Box Derby" where every grade school student can make a "Pine Box" race car and then race them on our special track.  We also participate in the AWANA Olympics, where our clubbers will join clubbers from other area churches for some friendly competition.

Learning and Growing with AWANA:

Awana clubs teach the gospel of Christ to children from preschool through high school. Throughout the program, children are rewarded for memorizing Bible verses and completing character building activities. Younger children learn through games, crafts and puppets -- wonderful learning tools for this age. As they grow, children are introduced to small group interaction, community outreach, apologetics and life application of the gospel.

Awanas offers fun, friendship and serious Christian teaching that supports the teaching children are receiving at home and at church. Living their faith can be difficult for children, especially as they grow. Awanas provides a comfortable place to learn and grown along with peers who share their faith. Awanas also reaches out to unchurched youth, providing them with an enjoyable and comfortable introduction to Jesus. Awanas is an excellent choice for parents who would like their children to learn Christian values while participating in a club.
